Who we are
Hotel Riviera Costa del Sol is the data controller for the personal data described on this page. The hotel stands at Avda. Antonio Machado, 49, 29630 Benalmádena Costa, Málaga, Spain, and is registered with Andalusian tourism authorities under number H/MA/00513.

What we collect
Two things on this website ask for personal data, and only when you choose to use them.
- Booking requests. When you book a stay we ask for your name, email address and the details of your stay — room, dates and number of guests. Payment is handled entirely by Stripe on their secure checkout pages; your card details never reach our servers and we never see them.
- Contact form. When you send us an enquiry we receive your name, email address and your message.
How we use it
We use your data for three purposes, and nothing beyond them:
- to fulfil your booking — confirming your reservation and preparing for your arrival;
- to reply to your enquiries;
- to meet our legal obligations as a Spanish hotel, such as accounting and guest registration requirements.
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or marketing lists.
Who processes it for us
Three carefully chosen services process data on our behalf, each under its own data processing agreement:
- Stripe — handles all payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe and stay there.
- Resend — delivers our transactional email, such as booking confirmations and replies.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and protects its forms from automated abuse through its Turnstile service.
No other third party receives your personal data from us.
How long we keep it
Booking records are kept for as long as Spanish law requires us to retain them — for tax, accounting and guest registration purposes — and no longer. Contact form enquiries are kept for up to twelve months, then deleted.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you may ask us at any time to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- rectify it if it is inaccurate;
- erase it, where the law allows;
- receive it in a portable format;
- object to how we process it.
To exercise any of these rights, email hotel@rivieracostadelsol.com and we will respond without undue delay. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the AEPD, the Spanish supervisory authority, at www.aepd.es.
Cookies
We do not set marketing or analytics cookies. Cloudflare Turnstile, which shields our forms from bots, may set strictly necessary tokens while it verifies that a request comes from a person — these exist only to protect the form and identify nothing about you to us.
